The last couple of chapters give you more of an overview of the ocean and diving physiology but they have nothing on PADI's Recreational Scuba Doing Encyclopedia which is just brilliant.

Again, this is a course book. Get it if you're going to do DM, don't get it if you're not. Jul 21, J. Danielle Wingler rated it liked it Shelves: Required reading for my certification, but I enjoy the topic.

It was not nearly as technical as I thought it would be. This only scratches the surface of dive physics and physiology. Caters specifically to the recreational field of diving and customer service. Looking forward to reading other publications put out by PADI and other agencies that are more in-depth.

Jul 21, Vinicius Ribeiro rated it it was amazing Shelves: The first five chapters are very focused on the business of diving and therefore not so enjoyable for the diver who is seeking to learn more technique and diving-related knowledge.
