At least nine people, including a pregnant woman, were injured in a shooting at a store in north-central Phoenix early Saturday morning, police said.

Officers were dispatched shortly after 4 a.m. after receiving multiple calls regarding business shootings in the area of ​​North 19th Street and West Indian School Road. Police said they found several people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said firefighters took many victims with non-life-threatening injuries to hospitals, and authorities learned that others had been taken to hospitals before officers were on the scene.

Police initially said there were six male victims, some with life-threatening injuries. He added that there could be more victims.

Police said the shooting did not affect the pregnant mother’s pregnancy and her injuries were not life-threatening.

“The investigation is still in its very early stages and it is unclear whether the suspects involved in the shooting were among the victims being treated in hospital or left before police arrived. is not”.

Police have not identified the store where the shooting took place.

The investigation closed 19th Street from Indian School Road to Camelback Road, police said.
