A pregnant woman in Costa Mesa, USA, credits her Apple Watch with saving her life and that of her baby. Jess Kelly relies on watches for a lot. She keeps track of her steps, her new messages, and more. When Kelly was 37 weeks pregnant, her smartwatch displayed an abnormally high heart rate warning on Dec. 17, she reported to ABC7.

Her smartwatch informed her that her heart rate was over 120 beats per minute, but she had been inactive for more than 10 minutes. Ms Kelly said she received more than two notifications in the 30 minutes, the news outlet reported.

“By the third time, I thought something was going on, so maybe I should look into this,” Kelly said.

A woman who visited the hospital was told by a doctor that her placenta had separated from the lining of her womb before birth and that she had had a placental abruption during labor.

“If I hadn’t listened to the clock, instead of staying home and celebrating her first month, we could have planned or my husband would have served me, Shelby, or both of us.” ‘, said Kelly.

A normal resting heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute.

However, there are many reasons for an accelerated heart rate, including dehydration and anxiety.

Kelly said she plans to keep her Apple Watch on and will hear notifications soon.
