“The birthday boy wants to share the gifts we have received as a family,” Ablett wrote.

The photo shows Levi holding an ultrasound scan and smiling.

“Happy birthday and I am grateful for every day I have with you,” added the father proudly.

Jordan shares the same photo with a message for Levi, who has a rare degenerative disease.

“There’s another gift on the way,” she wrote.

“Happy birthday to our big 4th! You are so loved.”

Expected date of birth and gender are not disclosed.

Former teammates Tom Stewart, Jed Byuse and Grayan Myers congratulated Ablett, as did Brendan Favora and Red Wiggle Simon.

Jordan’s post was backed by Britt Sellwood, wife of former Geelong Premiership captain Joel, and tennis great Mark Philippoussis.

The news marks the start of another significant year for the Ablett family, who welcomed their second child, daughter Grace, in November 2021.

Jordan reflected on the approaching Levi’s fourth birthday in a post on Friday.

“Looking at old photos, I can’t believe this 6 month old baby turned 4 in 2 days!!!” she wrote.

“Just recently, we thanked God for holding you in our arms and bringing us the most beautiful boy.

“We are so lucky to have you in this family and how precious our time with you is on this earth.

The Abletts declined to share Levi’s exact diagnosis, but have remained open about his condition, including the possibility of a “very short” life expectancy.

Jordan said last year that doctors also reassured his parents that Levi would likely never speak.

The boy appeared in Geelong’s premiership victory in the 2022 Grand Final when he walked through a pre-match banner by Joel Selwood.

The skipper at the time revealed the Cats’ plans for Levi the day before the game, after Ablett retired following his 2020 Grand Finals loss.

“I’ll let you in on a little secret, his son is going out with me tomorrow, and this is pretty special,” Selwood said.

“I think it’s fair for Ablett to play on grand final day and now it’s Gaza’s turn to cheer for his young son.

“It will be very special for the Ablett family and for the Geelong congregation.”

Prior to the match, Jordan shared an image of Selwood’s No. 14 jumper. Worn by Levi, with Ablett’s badge, thanking a friend for the invitation, Gary reposted the message.

Jordan told Selwood, “It’s hard to put into words how beautiful a gesture this is, but we know our family appreciates you and your big heart.

“You are as champion off the field as you are on the field.

“It is our absolute pleasure and honor to send our son off with you today.”
