After giving birth to five children over 20 years, Luciana Brandt, 41, said she never thought she would be pregnant again.
Doctors reportedly told her that menopause had started early.
Still, Blunt gave birth to a daughter on Tuesday who weighed a whopping 11.1 pounds, The Jam Press reported.
“I am very happy for her arrival, but I never imagined that she weighed over 5 kilograms!” A Brazilian mother of six stunned the local media.
Born at 40 weeks, “super baby” Maria Vitoria Brandt was reportedly 20 inches long after arriving by caesarean section.
The beaming new mom was discharged Thursday from Maicé Hospital in the municipality of Casador, Santa Catarina, according to Jam Press.
Babies born there typically weigh between 6 and 8 pounds, according to the hospital, making Maria’s size and weight considered very unusual.
The facility shared images of the newborn, along with a touching message to her family.
A spokesperson for the hospital said: “Hospital Meisse wishes little Maria Vitória and her family good health and happiness and many blessings.”
Luciana’s eldest daughter, Angela Brandt, 23, traveled long distances to stay with her mother and help bring baby Maria into the world. Dr. Jucelino Euler-Oliveira performed the delivery under the supervision of pediatrician Dr. Priscilla Ramos, The Jam Press noted.
“I kept my faith because I knew there was very little chance of me getting pregnant again. And God wanted it too,” Luciana revealed.

In a photo taken after giving birth, Maria wore a pink patterned dress and a yellow jewel-encrusted ice cream dress. The clothes I brought to the hospital were too small.
“My chunk goes straight to size 2 and 0-3 month clothes…” she wrote in the viral video, accompanied by a crying emoji.
