Jessie J addresses ‘comments on videos about pregnancy’ after announcing she’s expecting

Jessie J said “telling someone how you feel and what you’re feeling” while pregnant is “just not the way to do it.”

She, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child a year after a miscarriage.

Jessie J, 34, posted the video on Instagram on Friday (Jan. 6). The video started with a photo of her positive pregnancy test. The post was set to her song “Sunflowers” and also included footage of the singer cradling a baby bump.

She captioned it:

“Honestly, you girls just want to wear a catsuit and eat chocolate-covered pickles without asking a question and cry ugly in public.”

On Sunday (January 8), the “Bang Bang” singer posted a recap video to Instagram of her first semester, including experiencing morning sickness.

Shortly thereafter, Jessie J posted an Instagram story, writing, “It’s very interesting to observe how women treat each other.”

She explains: We all feel it and deal with it in our own way.

“Telling the other person how they feel or what they should feel is not the way to do it.”

She urged women to consider “how they comment on each other,” adding that “pregnancy is not a competition.”

“Pregnancy isn’t about who’s doing better or right, because one method doesn’t work for everyone.
