Naomi Osaka announced Wednesday that she will miss the 2023 Australian Open because she is pregnant with her first child. The 25-year-old said she plans to make a comeback in 2024.

“I can’t wait to get back on the court, but I have a little update for 2023,” Osaka shared on Twitter, along with a photo of the ultrasound scan and a message to fans.
