Pregnancy center in Eastpointe, board member’s home targeted by vandals overnight

East Point, Michigan – The homes of Pregnancy Aid, a pregnancy center in Eastpointe, and members of the Pregnancy Aid board were vandalized early Saturday morning.

On Saturday night, a spray-painted message appeared on the side of a pregnancy aid facility on 8 Mile Road in Eastpoint.

Not only were clinics vandalized, but the homes of Pregnancy Assistance Board members were also targeted. The trolls spray-painted threats on officers’ garages and driveways and broke windows.

The language used is similar to that found here at Metro Detroit and at other abortion prevention centers around the country.

Pregnancy Aid, a non-profit organization, has been at the 8 Mile location for two years and has never had a problem like this.

“I personally would not want anyone to have an abortion, but that is not up to me,” said Executive Director Nancy Untar.

Pregancy Aid offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, formula and clothing.

Anter said their volunteers and staff are non-proselytizing and come from a variety of backgrounds.

Police are investigating both acts of vandalism. Surveillance video only shows him two shadowy figures jumping into the Prius and taking off.

This isn’t the first time such a center has been targeted in Metro Detroit, but it’s the first time someone’s home has been targeted.
