Pro-life pregnancy center in Eastpointe vandalized; board member’s home also targeted


Over the weekend, vandals sprayed hateful messages into the Pro-Life Pregnancy Center and the homes of board members.

Nancy Anter, Executive Director of Pregnancy Aid Detroit, said:

The graffiti was found in a building in East Point after the home of one of the non-profit board members in Gros Point Woods was also destroyed.

“Well, it shocked me and made me nervous because it was personal and implied violence when I first learned of the board member’s graffiti,” Antar said. .

The executive director says she and her staff will not be intimidated after the vandalism. Their services resumed Monday morning.

“We have security guards and we do our best to protect women who pass by,” Antar said. “We do what we can, but it’s a risk.”

East Pointe Police are investigating the incident and have told FOX 2 that federal authorities are assisting them. still waiting for response.

The targeted officer left FOX 2 with the following statement: Our knowledge of her attack on Pregnancy Aid Detroit makes us more aware of the good work being done by Pregnancy Resource Centers without critically addressing the needs of every woman who walks through the door. I guess.”

As the police investigation continues, the center hopes this hateful act will inspire goodwill.

“I need a lot of help. I need diapers,” Antar said. “We provide women, mainly low-income healthy women, with baby products, maternity, clothing, baby clothes, formulas that everyone still needs, diapers that everyone needs…”
