Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, is one happy grandma.
The Duchess couldn’t contain her excitement after she announced that her daughter, Princess Eugenie, was pregnant with their second child. Jenny’s almost 2-year-old son, August, shared a sweet photo playing outdoors.
The Duchess wrote how excited the “Aussies” are to be able to play with someone soon.
“You’ll share puddles, Aussie!” she captioned a Jan. 24 Instagram post. “Great news, Grandma Heaven…. I really appreciate it.”
Earlier in the day, Eugenie announced that she and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child together.
“We are so excited to announce that we will be adding a new addition to our family this summer,” she wrote, along with a photo of her son embracing her and her baby bump.
Ferguson also commented on his daughter’s post, writing, “Grandma heaven.”
Buckingham Palace has also released a statement regarding Eugenie’s pregnancy. The family is happy and August is looking forward to being a big brother. ”
Ferguson shares Eugenie and Princess Beatrice with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, Duke of York. This will be his third grandchild of Ferguson.
Eugenie and Brooksbank got married in 2018. Two years after that, they announced that she was expecting her first child in February 2021, nicknamed “Aussie,” welcoming her August.
Ferguson became a grandmother for the second time in September 2021, when Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Siena Elizabeth.
Beatrice is also stepmother to Mozzi’s son Christopher Wolfe from a previous relationship.
Eugenie’s new baby will be 13th in line to the British throne, which includes Princes William and Harry, and us and their children.
