Singer Jessie J reveals pregnancy more than one year after miscarriage

LONDON – British singer Jessie J has announced that she is pregnant, more than a year after her miscarriage.

The 34-year-old London-born singer wrote on Instagram last Friday, “So happy and terrified to finally be able to share this. Please be gentle…”

She shared a video slideshow with snaps of her newborn baby bump, an ultrasound scan, and a positive pregnancy test.

Born Jessica Ellen Cornish, Jessie J never revealed her child’s due date or paternity.

However, international media reports that she is dating Danish-Israeli basketball player Chanan Safir Coleman.

The Price Tag singer was first linked with a rumored girlfriend in April 2022.

In November 2021, Jessie J wrote on Instagram that she had a miscarriage while in LA for a gig.

“Yesterday morning, a friend and I were laughing and saying, ‘Seriously, how am I going to make it through tomorrow night’s gig in LA without telling everyone in the audience that I’m pregnant? By yesterday afternoon, I was dreading the thought of making it through the gig without breaking down,” she wrote in the now-deleted post.

In May 2022, she described the experience on her podcast: I just didn’t have anyone to fall apart and that was what I needed and that was what I wanted.

She added that the experience made her realize she didn’t want to make the journey into motherhood as a single parent.

“I am grateful that I was able to go through my pregnancy. It has opened the door to loving myself more deeply. I am still processing the whole thing. There are moments of intense grief and heartbreak, but I am alone.” There are moments when you get excited when you know you can’t,” she said.
