The Indiana Department of Health will award $10 million to four communities to expand fertility assistance programs.
Nurse-Family Partnership Program Professionally trained nurses support visits to young primiparous mothers during pregnancy and up to the child’s second birthday. The goal of this program is to address health and socioeconomic factors that can affect maternal and child health status.
funds are Senate Register Act 2.
“Nurse and family partnerships are important partners in Indiana’s efforts to improve infant and maternal health. Please invest in this work so we can expand these critical services statewide. The funds will be used to increase the number of families served in counties with existing programs and to expand into new areas. Grant recipients are:

Goodwill Industries Michiana, Northwest region expansion, $2.9 million -
IU Health Bloomington Expands Current Capacity, $210,064 -
Central and Southern Indiana Concession for Expansion in the Southeast/Southwest/Western Region, $5.1 Million
